I was looking for some meal boxes to have for lunch and came across this one. China Bistro is part of Cloud Kitchen with India Bistro and Glocal Junction.

Taos Chicken Meal Box: It had chicken fried rice, chicken Hakka noodles, chicken gravy with black bean sauce, kimchi salad, chicken starter, pickled cucumber and carrots, and caramel custard. The chicken fried rice was good in taste. Chicken Hakka noodles were good in taste just like typical well-cooked Hakka noodles, but the bottom part was too oily. I threw away the bottom 1/3rd of noodles as it was soggy with oil. The chicken gravy was dark and looked and tasted like it was made in black bean sauce. It was a typical gravy with black bean sauce with nice flavors but a bit more chili and spicy flavor would have made it even better. The chicken starter was also good in taste with nice flavors of chicken and thick sauce. Caramel custard was good in taste but not among the best ones I have had. Pickled cucumber and carrots added a nice crunchy flavor to the mix. Overall a very good meal box but I would have rated it even higher if the gravy was spicier and if the noodles were not oily. 4/5 on taste.

Chicken Pan Fried Noodles: It came with Pan-fried noodles and gravy. The noodles were thin and well cooked. The gravy was full of chicken pieces which were well cooked, some mushrooms, cauliflower, broccoli, and some more exotic vegetables. The taste of the gravy with noodles was good and like a milder form of desi Manchurian gravy. There were also pickled cucumber and kimchi which added a nice flavor to the dish. T4/5 on taste.

Hot Pot Chicken Meal Box: It had Chicken with Assorted Pepper, Hot Pot Hunan Chicken with Shitake Mushroom, Vegetable Hakka noodles, Burnt Garlic Fried Rice, brownie, Kimchi & Pickled Cucumber. Chicken with assorted pepper had a bit of sweetish flavor, not much flavor of the pepper. It was well cooked and had a nice bite to it. Hot pot human chicken with shitake mushrooms was an excellent dish with a lot of tender chicken, red chilies – which gave it a great punch and spicy flavor, and a well-made gravy. Vegetable Hakka noodles had a decent flavor and not among the good and flavorful Hakka noodles I have had. Burnt garlic fried rice had not much burnt garlic, and it had American corn in it, which I have not seen very often. The taste was decent. The brownie was having a decent flavor. I would have preferred something like honey noodles than this. Kimchi and pickled cucumber had a nice side dish flavor. Overall, a great meal box with great flavors. 4.5/5 on taste.

Chicken Mahalak Pot: It was pot rice with a lot of gravy on top and rice on the bottom. There were so many big-sized chicken pieces in the dish that I was having one big piece of chicken per bite. Mushrooms in the dish were a nice addition and the overall flavors of the dish were very good. 4/5 on taste.

Chicken Nasi Goreng: It was having rice with fried egg on top, chicken satay, papad, kimchi salad, and pickled cucumber with carrots. The taste of the chicken satay was good with mild spicy flavor. Rice was decent in flavors and not among the best Nasi Goreng I have had. 3.5/5 on taste.

Veg Thai Green Curry Meal Box: The meal box came with hakka noodles, rice, green thai curry, kimchi salad, veg starter, pickled cucumber, and honey noodles. The green thai curry was full of vegetables and thick. It was perfect in flavors and tasted great with the rice. The hakka noodles was well cooked and good in taste. Vegetables starter was having a decent flavor. Honey noodles were not too sweet and just perfect. 4.5/5 on taste.

Chicken Aromatic Noodles Hunan Style: It was full of chicken pieces as usual. The taste of the noodles was ok and so was the gravy. It was decent. 3/5 on taste.

COTTAGE CHEESE MEAL BOX: A good meal box with all ingredient with decent flavors. 4/5 on taste.

I will update this review as I order more items in the future.
