Recommendations: Chicken Chettinad, Prawns Masala, Fish Biryani, Veg Thali, Payssam
We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of a south Indian friend of mine. And ordered few items which were available and we wanted to try. Service is very quick and the place is old style.
Chicken Chettinad: Chicken was very tender and gravy was spicy but not very spicy. The taste was very good. 4/5 on taste.
Prawns Masala: Prawns were big in size and were well cooked. I found few strings on prawns antennas in the dish which is not the way it should be. The taste was very good. 4/5 on taste.
Fish Biryani: Excellent biryani with a tender fish piece on the bottom. Rice was flavorful and fish along with the masala added extra flavour to it. 4.5/5 on taste.
Veg Thali: I don’t remember last time I liked the veg food in a restaurant more than the non-veg food but this was an example of it. All the stuff in thali were tasty and quantity was generous. Pineapple dish was awesomely flavorful and one of the best dishes ever. Rice was ordinary. Payasam was also very tasty and we asked multiple fill ups of the same. 4.5/5 on taste.
Parotha: Nice and soft parothas just like laccha paratha. 5/5 and all points.
Appam: Nothing great about this one.
In an all this was a great experience with this restaurant and we would definitely like to go to this place again and again.
Payasam: The taste was like drinking a liquid version of moong daal halwa and filling of Puran Poli. Great unique flavors. 4.5/5 on taste.
So after more than a year of visiting this restaurant, I made another visit with my family. I ordered Chicken Chettinad, Chicken Kerala, Payasam, Appam and parotta. All were good in taste but the only complaint my family had with the meal was that it was not hot. Otherwise a great meal for the price.
