I had seen a listing of LunchBox on Swiggy many times but on looking for a rating on Zomato I was not able to find any listing. This made me think that LunchBox must be a cheap local place which does not even bother to put a Zomato listing. But when I read that Rebel Foods got funding and LunchBox belongs to them I made an order very next day.

Egg Hakka Noodles & Chilli Chicken Combo: The packaging style was just like Faasos. Quantity of the noodles was generous and quality was excellent. Noodles were very thin and well cooked. The taste was very good having additional flavors and texture from vegetables and egg. Chilli chicken was the typical one you get in Indian Chinese restaurants but the quality of the chicken was poor. I was not able to make out if the chicken was bad or not properly cooked but it was rubbery and hard. It ruined an otherwise excellent dish. The taste of the noodles made me love this dish. 4/5 on taste. If the chicken was good I would have given it 4.5/5.

Chicken Biryani: Rice was very fragrant and full of flavors from cardamom. The chicken was well cooked but not among the tender ones I have had. The flavor of the biryani was good and similar to biryani you get in most delivery restaurants but not among the top quality biryani places. 3.5/5 on taste.

Chilli Basil Noodles Shanghai Chicken Lunch Box: The noodles were slim and well cooked. The taste of the noodles was very good and it was a delight to have it just like that. Shanghai chicken was having soft pieces of chicken along with a gravy which was just like chicken Manchurian gravy. Overall the taste of the combination was great. 4.5/5 on taste.

Burnt garlic rice with Kung Pao: I am not a fan of veg Chinese but still I ordered this one as I had to share the plates with others who did not want to eat non-veg. The quality of rice was good but the taste was not among the good burnt garlic rice I have had. The gravy was nice and flavorful. 4/5 on taste.

Choley Kulcha LunchBox: The choley was good in taste but it was more like a paste in consistency probably due to overcooking. Kulcha was thin and good. Overall the meal was good. 3.5/5 on taste.

Smoked Butter Chicken & Paratha Lunchbox: It came with butter chicken, paratha and daal makhani. The butter chicken was the same as the ones you get in the Faasos bowls, which means it was excellent. Daal makhani was excellent in taste. The paratha was soft and decent in taste. 4.5/5 on taste.

Paneer Biryani: The biryani rice flavor is the same as the chicken biryani. The only thing different was the paneer content. The quantity was generous with biryani full of paneer pieces, it was almost like 150-200 gms of paneer in the biryani. The flavor was of garam masala predominantly of cardamom. Overall the biryani was dry and difficult to eat but the raita given was a savior. But not an inviting biryani and I would not like to order or eat it again. 3.5/5 on taste.

Smoked Butter Chicken Jumbo Lunchbox: It had butter chicken, daal makhani, rice, chicken meatballs, paratha, salad, and gulab jamun. The taste was good as written in the previous reviews with the same items. The chicken meatballs were soft and juicy with flavors on the milder side of a chicken seekh kebab. 4.5/5 on taste.

Aloo Paratha with choley: I had ordered this from the Parel branch with daal makhani but they delivered with choley. The paratha was thinner than the typical parathas we are used to eating and also the taste was not that great. It was like a precooked paratha which is heated and given to the customer. 3/5 on taste.

Egg Fried Rice & Chilli Chicken Combo: Even this one was from the Parel branch and it was pathetic. the chicken chili was watery and the taste of it was ordinary. Rice was also average with hardly any egg. 2/5 on taste.

Overall a good experience with this place and I would update the review when I order more items in the future.
