My 1st visit to any Pop Tate’s outlet was with my friends to the one in Kamala Mills, right beside Bombay Canteen.

The ambiance was very good and good music playing in the background. Interiors were excellent with classic movies posters on the walls.
We ordered many items in both veg and non-veg varieties.

Africano Chicken: 5/5 on taste. One of the best chicken starters I have had. The chicken was tender, and the sauce was delicious. Recommended.

Chicken nuggets: 3.5/5 in taste. Had crunch on outside and soft inside. Came with a nice flavorful sauce. Came in a nice blue colored metal box. Good presentation style.

French fries: Typical ones.

Veg Manchurian sizzler: 2/5 in taste. Manchurians were not too tasty, mashed potato with American corn was the only one that had some flavor in it, which I am not a big fan of.

Pizzas: To comment about all of them combined, they were good but no match for Domino’s. The softness of Domino’s pizza bread and the flavor of the cheese is unmatched.

Peshawari chicken pizza: 3.5/5 in taste.

BBQ chicken pizza: 3/5 in taste.

Threesome veg pizza: 3.5/5 in taste. It had onions and mushrooms. I could not make out the 3rd item of this threesome.

Penne Erotica: 4/5 in taste.Good flavor of the sauce, which was added excellently by the cashew nuts in it. Recommended.

In an all a wonderful experience at this restaurant. Good food at the price not so expensive.

Update: Another day I made an order with the Thane outlet and ordered Caribbean Chicken Burger.

Caribbean Chicken Burger: It had a big sized chicken patty, half fried egg, cheese, sauces, pickled gherkins, tomatoes, and lettuce. The burger was messy but full of flavors. One of the best burgers I have had. It came along with salsa sauce and fries. Having it without the salsa sauce made it taste better. 4.5/5 on taste.

Southern Chicken Burger: The burger had fried onions and a chicken patty, which had south Indian flavors. But the overall taste was good and nothing great. 3.5/5 on taste.

Roasted Chicken Sandwich: Sandwich cut in 2 halves came along with fries and salsa sauce. Bread of the sandwich was soft and good. The chicken inside was tender, but the overall taste of the sandwich was ordinary. Inside there were caramelized onions, lettuce, jalapenos, and cheese. But none added much to the taste. 3/5 on taste.

Grilled Chicken Burger: The burger has a big size chicken patty topped with an egg. It also had gherkins, lettuce, and some black colored berry. The berry gave it a punchy sweet flavor, which I liked a lot. The chicken patty was well cooked and had mild spices with good flavors. Cheese slice also added to the flavor. Overall, the burger was good in taste, not among the best ones I have had, but still a very good one. 4/5 on taste.

Below were my recent orders online from Pop Tate’s, Lower Parel.

Chicken Lasagne: It was a hot Lasagna with lasagna sheets on top and bottom. In between, there was a nice chicken mince with spicy masala and oil. The overall flavor of the lasagna was excellent and one of the best ones I have had. My only problem with this dish was that the chicken in the lasagna was a bit undercooked and chewy. I would have given it a perfect rating if that was not the case. 4/5 on taste.

Chicken Tawa Masala with Rice And Paratha: It was a bowl with rice on one side and chicken Tawa masala on the other side. There was a paratha on top of it, some onions, and a pickle. Now the issue with this is that everything was mixed together. I do not mind eating a paratha soggy with chicken masala, but giving paratha separately would have been better. Also, the pickle was mixed with the gravy a bit, so the flavor was masked. They should give paratha and pickle separately so that those who want to have a nice and dry paratha can have it, and those who like a pickle in the dish can add. Now coming to the flavors, it was excellent. The chicken Tawa masala was one of the best I have had. It tasted great with the paratha and also with the flavorful rice which was perfectly cooked. Chicken pieces in the gravy were not much, but enough for me. 5/5 on taste.

Thai Veg Curry With Steamed Rice: It was having exotic vegetables and paneer in it. The taste of the Thai curry was good, but not among the best ones I have had. It had a slight hot after taste to it. Paneer was soft, but I did not like the taste of it much. 3.5/5 on taste.

Pop Tate’s Roast Chicken: It was having a chicken leg, and breast cooked in sauce, mashed potato, and sauteed vegetables on the side. The chicken was well cooked and the flavor of the sauce was great. All the flavors of the dish

Chicken Lasagne Pasta: It was chicken lasagna with a lot of chicken keema inside the lasagna sheets. The taste of the lasagna was good with spicy keema but the consistency of the chicken was not good mostly due to unoptimal cooking. 4/5 on taste.
