I was at Girgoan Chowpatty and was looking for a good place to have dinner. On checking out Zomat I found this place with a good rating and even Zoamto Gold. The place is in the gully right beside Crystal.
The restaurant is small and has only 8-9 tables. The interiors were well designed with different types of utensils handing on the walls. The tabletop design was unique and was looking great.
The staff is not like a typical restaurant staff. Only one guy was properly dressed as a waiter. There was another lady who was dressed and sitting as we do at our home. I do not care much about the service but this kind of atmosphere is not good for a restaurant.
A mineral water bottle was kept on the table and the waiter kept 2 empty glasses on the table later. They were not even bothered to give us an option to have regular water or even ask to pour the mineral water if we wanted it. A good way to increase the bill but I am not among the ones who fall for it.
I ordered a Classic burrito bowl and pesto pizza.
Classic Burrito Bowl: It came in an oval bowl-like vessel. There were grated cheese and sour cream on top and 4 pieces of nachos on the sides. Inside the dish, there were typical contents of a burrito bowl. There was rice, salsa sauce, peppers, and American corns. The dish temperature was such that it was already made beforehand, taken out of the fridge and all the ingredients were combined at once to make the bowl. The taste was ordinary. The Burrito Bowl by Mexican express is the best one I have had and this one does not even come close. 2.5/5 on taste.
Pesto Pizza: It was a thin crust and topped with different colored peppers, gherkins, and garlic. The pesto sauce was on the base and on having a bite of it there was no flavor of pesto. The vegetables were good but overall the taste of the pizza was ordinary as none of the topping (not even garlic), pesto sauce or the cheese had good flavors. I had to put in oregano, chili flakes, and even tomato ketchup to make it better tasting. Just to be clear I do not put anything on my pizza and like to taste the real flavors of it. Even the pizza was not looking completely made from scratch. 2.5/5 on taste.
Overall a very ordinary experience with this restaurant and I would not like to visit it again.
