I was planning a trip to Mahabaleshwar and was looking at some good rooms for a stay of 2 days. I have used Treebo in Jaipur at Treebo Raya Inn and was totally satisfied with it. So I chose the Treebo Trend JP Cottage. The issue was that my bus was going to arrive at 7 am, so if I wanted the room for those 5 hours I would have to shell out an extra day’s charge.
Another issue was that I got the room for Rs. 930 after discounts and Treebo credits but the hotel guy called me and said that they won’t be able to accept the booking as the price is way too low. I had to call up the Treebo customer care to get the issue resolved which should not have been there as the booking was done via the official Treebo website and confirmed.
The place is right beside the Mahabaleshwar Panchgani road. It is surrounded by beautiful trees and behind the hotel, you can see lovely farms of strawberry.
The staff was good and helpful. I had called them up to hire a car and they got the booking done and asked with the driver to come on time.
I had got a premium room that had a balcony with a coffee table. King size bed was soft. The bathroom had a lovely bathtub and shower gel. The rooms were clean but I was not happy with the blanket as it was a bit stinky. Also, there was a huge mirror in the bathroom with rollable curtains so that the TV can be watched while in the bathtub.
I was disappointed with the breakfast given. It had poha (which was dry), batata vada (full of huge size potatoes), and bread butter with tea or coffee. The only thing I liked was the tea, which had a nice elaichi flavor to it.
Overall a good experience with this place and I would recommend it to people who wants to try out a good hotel.
