I had seen 1441 pizzeria with a very high rating on Zomato and since then I wanted to visit this place. I did not get a chance to visit it but luckily I saw its listing on Zomato and a good offer was running on it. So I ordered Cheese Burst Calzone and a Pizza from Make your own pizza section.
Cheese Burst Calzone: Bread covering was perfectly made. Inside had a lot of cheese and some veggies. Tate was mainly of cheese and veggies had hardly any flavors but still, the overall flavor was very good. 4/5 on taste.
Make your own pizza: I had chosen options of an 8″ Pizza Wood Fired, Italian Pelati Sauce, Jalapeno, Onion, Shredded Mozzarella, Italian Pelati, Sauce, Green Capsicum, Button Mushroom, Green Zucchini, Tomato, Paneer Tikka, and Basil. Pizza bread was thin and it has many toppings. Sauce or cheese was not seen easily and did not have any flavor as such. Toppings were also tasting bland. It was one of the most tasteless pizza I have ever had. I had to put in a lot of herbs and chili flakes to make it edible. 1/5 on taste.
Overall I would count it as bad experience as the pizza restaurant had a tasteless pizza. Very disappointed with it but Cheese Burst calzone saved the day for me.
Update 1: (11-03-2019)
After my review of this restaurant on Zomato, I got a message from the management to give them another chance to make the experience better. So I went to the restaurant along with my wife. The place is not that big compared to places like Pizza express. One good thing is that the pizzas are made right in front of you and you can ask them to add any topping in front of you. Personally, I would prefer eating fixed item pizzas as the taste would be consistent every time and would not change according to the sauce or change in toppings. The manager Mr. Bhagat asked me to taste their sauces as on my previous experience the pizza was tasteless. I tried Italian sauce and Mama’s sauce. Italian sauce had a bit of tangy and punchy flavor and Mama’s sauce was very mild in flavors. I would prefer adding Italian sauce to the pizza over Mama’s.
I chose to have Paneer Tikka Pizza, Smoky Cheese Dough Balls and Lemon Ice Tea.
Smoky Cheese Dough Balls: It came along with 2 sauces. The red one was punchy in flavor and white one was like a cheesy garlic sauce. Dough balls themselves had cheese inside but not full of it and when had without the sauce, tasted great. It had a bitter aftertaste because it was smoky and it added to the flavor a lot. When had with sauces also it tasted great. I am impressed by these special items they make and I would definitely like to try it out again. 4.5/5 on taste.
Paneer Tikka Pizza: It had Mama’s sauce, mozzarella cheese, onions, green capsicum, garlic, paneer tikka, and green chili. The base was very well made and was thin and soft. The pizza itself had not so strong flavor of paneer tikka and something I can directly compare it to is the Paneer Makhani Pizza from Dominos which has a strong paneer makhani flavor. Someone who likes strong flavors on the pizza (e.g. my wife) would not like this pizza much (she didn’t like the pizza). I liked it. As the pizza had small pieces of spicy green chilies, whenever in a bite you get chilly, it overpowers all other flavors. Still a good pizza when had without any additional thing on it. I tried adding garlic oil, chili oil, oregano, and red chili flakes on it one by one to try out the change in flavors but it only ruined it. 4/5 on taste.
Lemon Iced Tea: A typical lemon ice tea and nothing different in it to write about.
So this 2nd experience of mine with this restaurant is positive and I would like to go to this place again to try out more pizzas and specials in the future.
