Banana Leaf: Variety of Good South Indian Food

I have seeing listing of this restaurant since a while and was thinking of ordering something as the variety of south Indian food was very good and so were the reviews.

Veg Chettinad: Quantity of this dish was huge and it can easily feed 2 persons. The taste was typical south Indian with coconut flavor in the background with vegetables and spices. Overall the taste was very good. 4.5/5 on taste. Recommended.

Neer Dosa: I came on top of a banana leaf. Taste, consistency, and quality were typical of neer dosa. As I had got it home delivered it was not very hot. 4/5 on taste.

Chef Special Dakshin Masala Idli: Excellent is the only word which can describe this dish. It was full of flavors. Idlis were soft and a treat to eat. The masala was punchy in flavors with a strong punch of coconut. It was spicy but not much. Added flavors were when it was had with the white and red coconut chutney and sambhar provided along. The only downside was that the sambhar was very thin. 4.5/5 on taste. Highly recommended.

Coorg Idli: Flavors were a spicy and slight hint of coconut. When had with chutney and sambhar it was tasting even better. 4.5/5 on taste. Recommended.

Banana Leaf Special Achari Idli: This was just idli with a lot of pickle flavor. The pickle flavor was so strong that it was like having a spoonful of a pickle with the idli. Very bad dish. 2/5 on taste.

Kerala Style Malabar Stew Idli: The best of the lot. It was a combination of thai curry and Idli. Gravy had vegetables and typical coconut milk curry flavor. It was excellent. 5/5 on taste. Recommended.

Sri Lankan Style Potato Stew Idli: Another excellent dish in their special idli range. This dish was a potato stew with slight hint of coconut flavor. The taste of the dish was excellent. 4.5/5 on taste.

Guntur Massala Idli: The taste of the idli was good but not among the best ones from Banana Leaf. It was good but not upto my liking. 3/5 on taste.

Mooru Curry With Idli: Idli with gravy having flavors of yogurt and kadhi. 3.5/5 on taste.

Overall, it was an enjoyable experience with this restaurant, and I would definitely order more items in the future.
