Botanica Cafe & Diner is a restaurant which I noticed when I was going to Girgaum Chowpatty. I had planned to visit some restaurant for dinner and when I opened Zomato I saw it having great rating and also having Zomato Gold support. So I decided to go there. The ambiance is good and the staff is friendly.
Greek Pizza: This was a chef special. According to the description on the menu, it had tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, caramelized onions with sauteed spinach, fried garlic and feta cheese. I will just describe how it tasted on taking the bites. It was very mild in flavors and only prominent flavor which was also not so prominent was of caramelized onions. Overall the taste of the pizza was what I would call bland and something I would not like to eat or order again. The pizza base was well cooked and thin. 3/5 on taste.
Italy to Thailand Pasta: It was having fusilli tossed in red Thai curry with Asian vegetables. The flavor of the pasta was just like a Thai curry but on a milder side. There were cinnamon sticks in the curry if I am not wrong. The overall taste of the pasta was good but nothing great. 3.5/5 on taste.
Overall I was not happy with the taste of the food given that the restaurant had such a good rating on Zomato.
