I had food from Jaffer Bhai’s Delhi Darbar many times from different locations. This is was the first time I went to the Marine Lines outlet of Delhi Darbar with my family.

The staff was decent but not comparable to good service from most restaurants.

Chicken Seekh Kebab: Good chicken seekh kebabs but I have had much better ones, especially one by Sigri at Claire road is a much better alternative. 3.5/5 on taste.

Mutton Seekh Kebab: Better than Chicken seekh kebab but on our second plate the seekh was having something chewy inside. The overall taste was good. 4/5

Sizzling Paneer: it came on a sizzler and the taste was similar to paneer chili in most restaurants. The paneer was soft and sauce made it tasty. But the taste was a bit on the sweetish side. 4/5 on taste.

Chicken Rashida: It was a Thursday special dish. The chicken inside was well cooked and super tender. The gravy reminded me of Chicken Mughlai from Sigri restaurant again. The taste was good. On finishing the dish the gravy on the plate dried up, so it was obvious that they had added fat in the dish. Hopefully, it was chicken fat. 4/5 on taste.

Chicken Biryani: This is another time I did not like chicken biryani of this chain. The biryani was ordinary at best. 3/5 on taste.

Tandoori Roti: Well made and decent flavors. 4/5 on taste.

Naan: It was thick but the taste was not amongh the good ones I have had. 3.5/5 on taste.

Reshmi Roti: It had a lot of oil. The taste was good. 4/5 on taste.

Rumali Roti: Typical one. 4.5/5 on taste.

Overall a decent experience with this place. Delhi Darbar has become so famous but the quality and taste of food do not match it.
